EV Truck Charging Port Protection

Heavy-duty EVs charge in the harshest conditions — highway dust, yard mud, overnight frost. CCS port covers built to survive them, and to survive daily use.

Why Truck Ports Need Real Protection

A truck charging port faces more abuse than a passenger car port — four reasons fleet operators spec covers.

Dust & Mud on the Road

Highway and construction-site driving throws dust, mud and stone chips at the charging port — debris packs into the inlet and can scratch the high-voltage pins.

Overnight Outdoor Charging

Trucks park overnight in depots, yards and roadside stops. Rain and frost sit on the port until the next charge, risking moisture ingress into the connector.

High-Power DC Ports

CCS fast-charge inlets carry high voltage — a dirty or damp port is a real safety and uptime concern, not just a cosmetic one.

Frequent Daily Cycles

Fleet trucks charge daily. The cover and tether take thousands of open-close cycles a year — cheap covers tear at the tether root within months.

Recommended Setup

A CCS Cover Line for Your Fleet

For most truck fleets the core item is a CCS charging port cover with locking clips — it stays on through vibration and wind. For overnight outdoor charging, add the gun cover so rain and frost never sit on the connected plug.

Truck Fleet Questions

Which cover fits our truck fleet?+

Most heavy-duty EVs charge with CCS2 (Europe) or CCS1 (North America). Send us a port photo or the vehicle model — we confirm the right cover and locking option for your fleet.

Can covers survive harsh road conditions?+

Yes — the standard material is polyether-based TPU, selected for UV, abrasion and cold. The FR-TPU option adds a UL94 V-0 rating. Tethers are tested to 10,000+ flex cycles without tearing at the root.

Can we add our fleet branding?+

Yes — fleet logos, vehicle color matching, embossed or printed branding and custom packaging are standard for truck and bus programs.
