Frequently Asked Questions

Everything buyers usually ask before sourcing EV charging port covers — fit, materials, customization, MOQ, shipping and quality.

Product

Will these covers fit my EV?+

Covers are made to the connector standard of the charging port, not to a specific car model. Choose the version that matches your port — Type 2 for most European EVs, J1772 or CCS1 for North America, CCS2 for DC fast charging, GBT for China-market vehicles. Send us a photo of your port and we will confirm the right fit.

Are the covers waterproof?+

Yes. We offer IP54 and IP67 rated versions. IP67 covers keep dust and water out even when the port is fully exposed to rain, snow or a car wash. IP54 versions suit covered or garage charging setups where splash protection is enough.

What materials are used?+

Our standard covers are molded from weather-resistant TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) and silicone compounds that stay flexible in cold weather, resist UV degradation and do not scratch the paint or trim around the port.

How long do the covers last outdoors?+

The TPU and silicone compounds are selected for long outdoor service at charging locations — including UV exposure and temperature swings through all four seasons. Covers are designed to be replaced only if lost, not because they degrade.

Do the covers stay on at highway speed?+

Yes — the snap-fit clips hold the cover in place while driving, and the optional tether keeps it attached to the charging cable or port area even when removed. We pressure-test covers against wind load at highway speeds.

Customization & OEM

Can you customize with my brand or logo?+

Yes — OEM and ODM are our main business. We customize color, emboss or print your logo, add cable tethers, adjust dimensions to your port housing and design retail-ready packaging. Send us your artwork or a reference part and we will quote the tooling and unit cost.

Can you make a version for a specific car model?+

Yes. While the standard versions cover the majority of vehicles by connector type, we can tune the profile to specific vehicle housings where the port recess or lid clearance is unusual. A reference photo or a 3D scan of the port is enough to start.

What do you need from me to start an OEM project?+

Four things: your target market and connector standard (or a port photo), a reference part or rough dimensions, expected volumes, and your packaging preference. Brand assets are needed only if custom labeling is part of the program.

Is there a tooling or mold cost?+

Standard versions may be available without tooling cost. Custom molds carry a one-time tooling investment, quoted clearly upfront. Tooling stays dedicated to your program and is amortized across your production orders.

Orders & MOQ

What is the minimum order quantity?+

MOQ is flexible. We run small test batches (from 10 units) so you can validate fit, finish and sales response before committing to volume. Production orders scale from there — no forced bulk commitments.

What is the sample process?+

Send us your reference part or port photos. We confirm the version, make the tooling and ship first-article samples for your fit test. Sample quantities for evaluation start from a small number of units.

What are your production lead times?+

Once the first article is approved, production runs follow your schedule — from quick batches for test markets to scheduled replenishment for ongoing retail lines. Lead time depends on quantity and packaging, and is confirmed in the quote.

Do you supply distributors and retail brands?+

Yes. We supply EV charging brands, auto accessory distributors, fleets and e-commerce sellers with private-label covers and full product lines. Wholesale pricing applies from the first production order.

Shipping & Payments

Do you ship worldwide?+

Yes. We ship samples and production orders globally, with export packing and documentation handled by our team. Shipping cost and transit time are confirmed in the quote for your destination.

What payment methods do you accept?+

Standard terms: T/T bank transfer for production orders, and PayPal for small sample orders and first test batches. Payment terms can be discussed for ongoing programs.

Can you drop-ship to my customers?+

Yes — retail-ready packaging and drop-ship arrangements are available. We can ship directly to your customers or marketplace fulfillment centers with your branding on the package.

Quality & Compliance

Are the materials compliant with EU/US regulations?+

Our standard materials are selected to meet RoHS and REACH requirements. If your market needs additional compliance documentation, tell us at the quote stage and we will include it in the program.

How do you control quality on production batches?+

In-process dimensional checks, weight control and snap-fit functional tests run during molding, followed by AQL-based final inspection and batch traceability before packing. Every batch has a record.

Can I visit the factory or request a video walkthrough?+

We welcome serious OEM partners. Video walkthroughs of the tooling shop and molding lines can be arranged on request, and factory visits are supported for established programs.
